A marketing mastermind with excellent people-skills and great organizational
ability, Arun can thrive in any corporation where there is something
to be marketed. He is the prototype Zig Ziggler would have ordered before
one of his famous Marketing Seminars; or the model Dale Carnegie would
have employed in a video version of "How to Win Friends and Influence
People". He has enough marketing conquests to fill a book, and he has
achieved those victories in diverse industries and on an international
level.
After rising up the corporate ladder very quickly as a young executive
in a (formerly) British multinational corporation (JENSON & NICHOLSON
– a manufacturer of premium paints), he was already Regional Manager
(North India) and slated for another promotion, when he threw it
all and ventured overseas into the unknown world of Textiles. Joining
INDORAMA (Indonesia) as Marketing Manager in 1983 when
it was a $15 million company, he was instrumental in promoting the company’s
image as a high-end producer of quality yarn and in setting up the entire
exports division that helped the company achieve exponential growth
past the $300 million mark, with 70% exports. As Chief Executive
Officer of their Spun Yarns Division, he again achieved extraordinary
success in increasing profits, improving morale and elevating company
image. Currently Director of Marketing at SRITEX (Indonesia)
– a 14,000 employee strong integrated textile company – he is again
expanding his company’s horizons into Europe and North America.
A regular globetrotter and a techno-gadget freak, he is equally at
home in New York, New Delhi and Jakarta.
